I spent 8 years as a founding team member and Design Director for a mid-sized design and development agency managing a team of direct reports on my design team and co-managing a development and engineering team. Over the years since, I have managed smaller teams of designers, and been in several roles as a management level IC responsible for running DesignOps as well as working cross-functionally with other teams. Most recently, I spent 3 years as Head of Design at Federato, led a full scale platform redesign as a Principal Design Manager at InsightSquared, designed internal apps for teams at Apple, and led design as a Super IC or manager for several other startups.

As a leader, my personality is open, upbeat and outgoing and I like to bring that energy to my team. I have always been an outspoken teammate who leads through encouragement. I like to stay open and transparent, and share the wins. I have found that building a strong team is achieved through transparency, accountability, teamwork, and ownership. I like to lead by giving my team the tools, guidance, & information they need to succeed, and then I get out of the way.
